Messner Mountain Museum MMM Corones.
Directly on the top of the Kronplatz mountain you will find a stunning building designed by the renownd architect Zaha Hadid. Inside of this architectural jewel, Reinhold Messner, famous South Tyorlean climber and  mountaineer, established his sixth museum MMM Corones, which is dedicated to „Climbing“.

LUMEN – Museum of Mountain Photography.
On 20th December 2018, the Museum of Mountain Photography LUMEN was inaugurated. It is located in the newly restructured former summit station and is dedicated to all kinds of mountain photography.

AlpiNN – Star cook on the top of the mountain.
In winter 2018-19, the well-known and award-winning South Tyrolean star cook Norbert Niederkofler newly opened the restaurant AlpiNN Food Space & Restaurant and has since been offering culinary highlights on the top of the Kronplatz mountain. The Kronplatz – Plan de Corones is located right next to the town of Bruneck – Brunico and is the biggest and best-known skiing area of the Puster Valley in South Tyrol. The valley station is located at a driving distance of only 5 minutes from Bruneck – Brunico and can easily be reached by car or by taking the skibus, which stops right in front of our hotel.

Brunico’s new climbing hall is one of the biggest in Italy: height of 17 m indoor climbing surface of 1.370 m² + 450 m² on the outside approximately 270 climbing and 230 boulder routes, which are constantly changed and redone by some of the best climbers of the area.

On every Friday, local farmers sell their delicious homemade products in the town center, right in front of the Corso am Graben: cheese, honey, marmalades, smoked meat products as well as fresh vegetables and fruit. On every Wednesday, there is the weekly market just across the street where you can find clothes, shoes, traditional Tyrolean wardrobe and leather products.

The Christmas market takes traditionally place in the town center, right in front of the Corso am Graben, starting on the last weekend of November until 6 of January. Calming Music, the smell of biscuits and vin brulé and lights all over the town turn Brunico into a Christmas wonderland. Artistic candles, wooden nativity figurines, knitted socks and scarfs and many more self-made artwork can be acquired on the market and will remind you of this special atmosphere even back at home.

Right at the foot of the skiing area of Kronplatz/Plan de Corones, you will find a lovely 9 hole golf course that has been carefully embedded in the beautiful nature. The Open Country Course includes both meadows and forests and satisfies the requirements of all levels of difficulty.

Cycling and mountain biking have become as popular as ever. In the Puster Valley, for many years already great importance has been attached to the extension of the cycling paths and so today many valleys can be visited by cycling on wonderful and perfectly maintained paths: starting from Bruneck there are paths f.ex. to Munich, Venice and Klagenfurt. Additionally, there are many great downhill trails for those who are looking for even more adrenaline.
